IN THE GARDEN WITH SARAH RAVEN

It’s easy to think these weeks building up to Christmas are an ideal time for putting your gardening feet up, the moment to flick through catalogues and magazines and have ideas, rather than do any actual gardening.

And it’s true, this is a great time to take stock. Find photographs of the garden, have a look at notebooks and process inspiration you’ve had from other places over the year. I love doing that – cutting out plant pictures and putting them into great combinations for pots and vases, and of course, delicious food.

When designing our pot collections and the veg and cutting garden borders, that’s exactly what I do.
