Starting the hike down to the river at 2 pm was not the plan. Neither was spending a dangerously cold and sleepless night huddled around a campfire in a drysuit. Fortunately, I was cozied up in my sleeping bag, resting up for another full day of solid whitewater. Others, who shall not be named here, were not so lucky. The difference – research.
