All over sports TV you hear the expression, “He can do it all!” That usually means proficiency in every aspect of the game: offense, defense, scoring and special plays. Jay Howell, a former Detroiter now living in Vero Beach, Florida, is one of those special people who have done it all. In one lifetime, he has been a mechanic, a drag racer, a hot rodder, a professional race car builder, a pro driver, a boat customizer, a retailer, an entrepreneur, a financial advisor, and a lot more. His latest project is the very sweet street gasser Anglia, you see here.

Howell started with a 1956 Ford Club Sedan that he raced on Detroit’s famous Woodward Avenue. He later bought a 1962 Buick Special convertible with a 215 cubic-inch aluminum
