ANNOUNCING THEIR SEPARATION PETER AND AUTUMN PHILLIPS QUEEN’S GRANDSON AND WIFE PLEDGE TO PUT DAUGHTERS FIRST AFTER SPLIT
They married in a fairytale ceremony at St George’s Chapel in 2008, declaring their love for each other in front of 300 cheering guests. Their happy ever after was seemingly sealed with the arrival of their daughters Savannah, now nine, and Isla, seven. But Peter and Autumn Phillips last week confirmed their marriage is over.
The Queen’s eldest grandson, 42, and his Canadian-born wife, 41, made the decision to split “after many months of discussions”, they said in a statement, adding that their separation, “although sad, is an amicable one”.
Suggestions that Autumn plans to return to her homeland have been dismissed and, a friend tells HELLO! , the couple are determined to “put the girls first” as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
