Homegrown company Lively Lures reflects what it means to be an Australian fisho. The brand truly caters for anyone, from the father son duo chasing flathead in the tinny, to the nomads who roam the blue water.

Just in case you haven’t heard of him or his company, Alan Dolan, a passionate waterman, created Lively Lures over 30 years ago and still operates out of the same factory at Caloundra, Queensland.

Al Dolan has been a family friend of mine for years, and is the hardest working man I’ve encountered in my 16 years existence; a true Aussie battler.

I sat down with Al and fired some questions off about his brand, the man, and the process of making lively lures into the thriving business it is today.
