Rock 75

Rock 75, along the upper Bushman’s River near Giant’s Castle, received its name from the number 75 carved into it by the cook of a detachment of the British 75th Regiment.

The incident occurred during retaliatory operations after Chief Langalibalele’s Hlubi defeated British colonial forces on 4 November 1873.
