ten years ago, even the most foresighted future-casters didn’t predict the technology we live with today. And in another 10 years? We’ll all have robots as remote avatars, according to Marita Cheng.

Cheng is the founder and CEO of Aubot, a company that produces telepresence robots that can be used by sick kids to attend schools or by remote workers to go to meetings. This is a woman who’s used to shaping the future. When she was studying mechatronics at the University Of Melbourne in 2008, she was shocked by how few female engineering students were in her classes.
