i’ve been working with Chanel since 2015, and every runway show has been an incredible experience. About a week out, I’ll meet with Virginie [Viard, Chanel’s artistic director] and she’ll show me the collection for the first time. That’s when we start talking about her inspiration and about the clothes, and usually some ideas will begin to form, but it’s all very casual. In those settings, I’ll tend to pick out something from the collection — whether it’s a texture, colour or the overall vibe of a certain girl — and I will come up with a makeup look from there.
