Just to let you know, I have been interested in vintage Volkswagens since 1970 (not to age myself) and still enjoy all aspects of the hobby. It all started in 1970 while in the US Army stationed in Germany and I needed transportation living off post.

So, my very first VW ever was a 1967 1300 Sea Blue Sedan, which seemed to me so easy to drive! After a while, my Army friend owned a 1949 Split Window VW, and I helped him work on the car as he was planning on taking it back to the USA when he got out of the Army.
