Everything’s Better in 3D

From the early days of 3D movies to today, progress has been made from the use of two-color glasses to a much more realistic-looking experience. The same goes for printers. From the days of simple impact printing similar to a typewriter to today’s high resolution inkjets, printing has come a long way as well. From its humble beginnings in the mid-80s, 3D printing has become not just a novelty or esoteric means of making things, but a potentially lifesaving technology.
As with many new technologies, the early adopters shouldered the high cost of 3D printing. It has just been recently that 3D printers costing as little as $149 have appeared on the market, making this technology more affordable.
