Slumping down on my bed, I stared in awe at my little sister, parading around in her new outfit.
‘I love that dress,’ I gawped at Jasmine, then 16, who was strutting her stuff in our shared bedroom.
‘You can borrow it if you want,’ she said, as she admired herself in the mirror.
‘Thanks, but I’d never be able to fit into it,’ I scoffed. At 17, I was already a size 18, and I’d always considered myself a ‘big-boned’ teenager.
Especially compared to my slender sister, who was just a fraction of my size.
Although, I was never particularly jealous.
