THE HAUNTING:
Also known as ‘The Dana’ after a nearby medieval prison, Shrewsbury was a Category B prison until it closed in 2013. There has been a prison on this site since 1793, and the current prison was built in 1877. Many executions by hanging were carried out inside the jail – which, unsurprisingly, is now rife with paranormal activity.
