The Haunted Museum, Mapperley
THE HAUNTING:
This impressive museum started life as a Majestic cinema in 1927. Until it closed its doors in 1957, locals would flock here to see the latest movie. What makes it particularly special is that there’s a tunnel that ran to a nearby asylum (now closed) so that the patients could make trips to watch the big screen undisturbed. The building was recently bought by a team of ghost hunters, UK Ghost Hunts, as a place to display their collection of haunted and bizarre artefacts. Here you’ll find haunted items including a doll made from a dead man’s bandages that supposedly likes to move around
