BENEFITS OF EVs
Just like Kobus Erasmus (Mail, June 2019), I am also a petrolhead. I have designed and raced cars, followed F1 for decades, owned several exotics and ripped apart many engines. I dance to the sound of a high-spec ICE at full chat. As an engineer, I am in total awe of the design and technology of an insanely complex modern ICE. But they are now completely inappropriate for the modern world and plain nonsense for powering road vehicles.
