A dignified end?

Should we be allowed to choose when and how we die?

In May 2019, 63-year-old Paul Lamb, from Leeds, made headlines when he began a legal battle to challenge the law that prevented him from taking his own life.

Paul was paralysed from the neck down following a car crash 30 years ago, and now lives with chronic pain.

He has made the decision to end his life in a dignified way, saying that keeping him alive could be considered torture.

But Paul would need help to do this, and assisting suicide
