Massive X

The original version of Native Instruments’ Massive is a tough act to follow. In many ways it can be seen as the original ‘power synth’ – a feature-packed sound design playground stuffed with unique wavetable sounds, creative effects and complex modulation possibilities. While, in the 12 years since it first hit the market, Massive has lost a bit of ground to the many contenders and imitators that follow – perhaps most notably Xfer’s Serum – it remains one of the most popular and widely-used softsynths of all time.
