Now stepping up to the long format, O’Flynn manages to transfer the same expansive, deep sound into a coherent and impressive album. Merging modern electronic music with a rich tapestry of world music samples, he creates a fascinating soundscape that is a bustling, life-affirming and colourful exploration of human activity. As well as a lively and forward-moving momentum, the record is also charged with plenty of emotion and feeling.
