ART OF WINTER

Living in the Adirondacks gives artist Diane Leifheit an infinite supply of subject matter. “One could fall out of their car on the side of the road and find something to paint,” she—and the North Country’s ever-changing weather only adds to the variety. Leifheit’s solo exhibition Speaking of Seasons at View Arts Center, in Old Forge, showcases pastels from the plein-air sessions she favors spring through fall, though the winter scenes are completed in her Paul Smiths studio.
