Yet when Aldi, the German discounter, released a 1.5 litre magnum of French rosé for $24.99 just prior to the Easter long weekend earlier this year, Elle, Marie Claire and InStyle magazines and female-targeted websites such as whimn.com.au and popsugar.com.au led the charge in informing their readerships of the return of this much-loved tipple of party girls and wine o’clock mums.
