US DEMAND DRIVING GROWTH

THE New Zealand Winegrowers 2018 annual report has been released, with its usual array of fascinating facts and figures. There’s more good news in the form of wine exports, with US demand helping drive significant growth: value has grown by more than $NZ700 million in the last decade, with volume more than doubling in the same timeframe. Export earnings in the year to June 2018 grew to $NZ1.7 billion, though wary eyes are being kept on the current volatile international trade environment.
