With an automotive manufacturing heritage dating to 1895, Torino, Italy (known in English as Turin), can rightly claim to be the Detroit of Italy. Today, it is the home of Fiat Chrysler’s world headquarters and General Motors’ international powertrain development business, but classic car buffs have plenty to explore here. Two world-class car museums, plus a former rooftop test track that achieved cinematic fame, are all within walking distance of one another, making Torino a worthwhile destination.
