A Garden for All Seasons

Beginner gardener or seasoned, you know that there’s always more to learn. You’ve experienced the frustration of trying something new and the reward of getting it to grow. Jules Ivarie began gardening under the sunny skies of Australia. But she wound up in humid Athens, Georgia, stuck her trowel into the ground and unearthed hard, red clay. It was a new challenge, and her scientist-heart reveled in the opportunity to experiment.

After years of trials and errors, Jules is still trying new things. Look to “Garden at a glance” below and you’ll see that her yard is filled with beds and borders to accommodate all of her experimentation. In the photo at right see each plant as a subject she has studied. Japanese maples, conifers and roses passed her tests and have now become staples. A bountiful garden is an investment of season after season of diligence and care. Come explore this well-tended garden and learn about the lessons that have made it so beautiful.
