WHO IS IT FOR? Beginners to competitive riders, with or without their own horse, offering discounted lessons to members.

WHAT’S INVOLVED: there are two bases — Trenley Park, Canterbury, for competitive riders, and Barton Field Farm Equestrian Centre, Littlebourne, for social riders. There are fun days and weekly socials, plus opportunities to take part in horseball and casual hacks, including a beach ride.

COMPETITIONS: two teams of four riders are entered in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions (see box, p29). There is also a varsity event against main rival the University of Kent.
