International Garden Photographer of the Year

The winner of £7,500 and the title of International Garden Photographer of the Year is Albert Ceolan from South Tyrol, Italy. “Albert has documented a scene that is as shocking as it is well composed,” says IGPOTY’s head judge, Tyrone McGlinchey. “The photo shows both the natural destruction caused by storm Vaia and the remaining trees, symbolising hope. Our Plants and Planet category was introduced for this reason: to stimulate discussion and raise awareness of our current climate for ongoing exhibition dates.
