Mike Markowski was nine years old when he saw his first Corvette: It was a new, 1956 roadster in Cascade Green with beige coves, and it made a lasting impression. He’d admired a fellow high school student’s 1965 Sting Ray coupe, and been blown away by the third-generation model, introduced for 1968.
