More and more confusion
Reports suggest John Prestwich wasn’t an active motorcyclist but research confirms he entered some speed events with JAP machines. While it is possible he competed in competition, it’s more likely Prestwich completed entry forms in his name and funded the fee but machines were ridden by chosen riders, often A E Bowyer-Lowe.
