A Family Matter
My earliest memory as a child has become something of a family fable. It features a four-year-old future editor standing in the cockpit of his parents’ Sea Ray with a pail clenched in one hand and a toy shovel in the other. Armed with the tools of the trade, I looked ahead through my too-round sunglasses at a busy afternoon of sandcastle construction.
