Learning the rules of the road
We had departed Dunstaffnage and sailed through Oban Bay, down the Kerrera Sound. The boat was ‘in the groove’ sailing across the bay. A fishing boat started her course across the natural line a yacht would take to enter The Sound of Insh, forcing us to change course to pass behind her with little room to spare.
