Record number of yachts leave for ARC 2019

More than a thousand sailors from 53 countries have left Les Palmas de Gran Canaria bound for St Lucia as part of Atlantic Rally for Cruisers 2019. Sir Chay Blyth fired the starting gun for the 34th rally, which has a record 283 yachts taking part.

First over the mile-long line was Pierre Caouette’s Outremer 5X . The crew of the Oyster Lightwave 48, , which included Greig City Academy’s Seun Williams, led the 26 boats in, led the cruising division.
