LETTER OF THE MONTH Women in sailing

The report by World Sailing into women in our sport is one of the most downright shocking and sad pieces of research I’ve seen.

We all knew that sailing was sexist, but I assumed the perpetrators were a few old farts in red trousers and grumpy gits with beards (my husband wears red trousers).

The serious point is that what the report makes clear is that women of all ages are experiencing sexism,
