The race has been won by Folkboats on several occasions but is it an event for all classics?

The race has been won 11 times by Folkboats or their derivatives since 1948. In 2018 victory went to a Contessa 26 [inspired by Folkboat lines] dating from 1974 and another Contessa 26 dating from 1973 was third. While the modern boats grab line honours, the headlines always go to an older boat, often a classic and often a smaller boat. Around half of the races have been won
