IN 2012 Pascal Kinnouvo saw a sight that has stirred many before. It set him on a path to pursue a game that is still so unfamiliar to many in Africa.
“I started playing rugby because of New Zealand – they are my favourite team,” the Benin international tells Rugby World. “I looked at the haka. So I found a local team to play rugby and I said to myself, ‘Let’s go do it’.”
