THERE’S A curious mixture of players in the Greene King IPA Championship.

There are the semi-pros putting in the hours in vocations that do not demand the recurrent clashes of 100kg-framed men. There are the spritely youngsters on loan from Gallagher Premiership clubs enjoying playing minutes. For some, playing professionally at Championship level is all they’ve ever known, regular faces a coach can build a team around.
