If you watch amateur golfers trying to hit the ball hard, most of the time their feet are off the ground in their efforts to really smash it. But if you watch the guys on tour who hit it a long way, their feet are firmly planted the whole time – they’re using the ground to their advantage, almost like a springboard. Club golfers don’t take advantage of the ground in this way.
