OCT.6 Cold War Kids Since meeting at California’s Biola University in 2004, the members of this indie-rock outfit have achieved a lot—including releasing six studio albums and the gold-certified single “First.” And they continue to release high-energy, foot-stomping sounds: For instance, their 2017 album LA Divine includes upbeat, drum-dominated rhythms and catchy choruses. As a prelude to their upcoming album New Age Norms, the band will embark on a 21-city tour, proving that though they’ve aged, they’re not going anywhere. Sun 8 p.m. Boulder Theater, 2032 14th St., Boulder, 303-786-7030, bouldertheater.com. $28. Visit coldwarkids.com.
