MODEL A MILITARY VEHICLE IN C4D

Recently I decided to work on a personal project in order to practise a bit. So I crawled through the internet looking at a fairly large amount of concept sketches, work in progresses and military vehicles.
I stumbled upon a sketch from concept artist Longque Chen and early Oshkosh prototypes which I really liked, and this gave me the initial push for starting this artwork.
I am going to show you my general process in creating this machinery in the following steps.
01 RESEARCH
Before I started to do anything in 3D, I collected images from the web that inspired me. Anything is fine: a Google image search, portfolio platforms like Behance or ArtStation – there is a ton of good reference out there that will help you to stay focused.
02 GET ORGANISED
Even if it is a free-time project and not for a client, I really suggest that you make a folder structure for your project. You will be more efficient if everything is in place and well organised. Normally I have folders in the way I use my software apps: like ‘C4DFiles’, ‘PSDFiles’, ‘Input’ and ‘Output’.
