Lacrosse A Game With History

Lacrosse is an ancient sport. It is probably the oldest team sport in the United States and Canada. The ball-and-basket game was a favorite of the eastern North American tribes from the Hudson Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. In the 1600s, French Jesuit missionaries in present-day Canada were the first Europeans to see the game played.
