Centro Class 150s

SUBURBAN trains offer a surprising level of modelling interest, even when operated with the humble ‘Sprinter’. The Centro suburban network in the West Midlands, whilst smaller than those surrounding London, offers an interesting variety of modelling opportunities.

From Class 304 and Class 310/312 EMUs and a variety of suburban format DMUs in the BR era through to Class 150s, Class 323s and other units in the sector and privatisation periods, the West Midlands offers a lot of variety, both on electrified and diesel operated routes alongside the region’s freight and long distance trains.
