Friends rescue Chicago couple facing tragic end-of-life decision while living abroad

Megan Quinn and Andrew Marciniak met on the side of a mountain in Montana, where she washed dishes and he waited tables at a ski resort. When she served in the Peace Corps in Grenada, he followed her there. Intensely in love, friends said, they married at a chapel on a lake in Ireland.
They settled in Chicago, but asked, as they told friends, "What if we lived a life in which we did exactly what we wanted?" That life was built largely on traveling the world, and teaching children of all abilities and backgrounds.
In keeping with those goals, the couple lived for a time in Peru, and began learning Spanish and teaching English. This fall,
