Does Donald Trump ever wonder what Americans will think of him years from now? Is it possible that somewhere down the road, long after he can no longer harm our nation, a former first lady will embrace him or a celebrity will call him a friend?

The best that Trump can hope for is that Americans are as forgiving of him as they have been for former president George W. Bush. And if we cannot forgive, then perhaps we will forget.
