Fantasy football Week 7 lineups: Start, sit and sleepers

There are some good quarterback plays in Week 7, including Gardner Minshew against the Bengals and Josh Allen against the Dolphins. But not all the start-sit calls are as obvious as they what they would appear to be.

Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons vs. Rams

Naturally, Jared Goff's matchup against the porous Falcons secondary captures everyone's attention, but we're overlooking some hidden dynamics about the Rams' defense.

The Rams look like a middle-of-the-road pass defense, but they've "padded" their stats against some under-performers in Cam Newton, Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo. Meanwhile, Jameis Winston and Russell Winston tagged them for four touchdowns apiece.

Ryan and Goff are No. 1 and 2 in pass attempts because their teams need them to air it out, and Ryan is second to Patrick Mahomes in yards (2,011). Can you say shootout?

The Rams already were having problems with pass defense before they placed cornerback Aqib Talib (ribs) on injured reserve Monday.
