Some of the credit for the origin of T3 should go to Gary ‘Gaz’ Whitta, one of Future Publishing’s games journalists. Gaz would later move to America to work on the US edition of PC Gamer, before leaving magazines for the world of screenwriting, where his credits include The Book of Eli, After Earth and Rogue One. But back in 1996, Gaz had a bee in his bonnet about Future launching a science mag. After much ear-bending, he managed to organise a brainstorm with the great and good of the company.
