I reached Anamosa, Iowa, after two full days of fine weather riding. Anamosa is in eastern Iowa, not far from the Mississippi River, just over 800 miles from my Denver home.

The Four-Stroke Singles National Owners Club was to meet there for a Thumper Cafe, a lunch among ‘singularly’ like-minded riders. The famous National Motorcycle Museum was just across the road from my motel. I visited twice – and saw all I wanted to see.
