CHICAGO - Three years before his death, Davantae Jackson was walking the manicured grass of the Chicago White Sox ballpark, in awe of his opportunity to practice at the storied field.
Known as "Lefty" for his left-handed pitch, the 12-year-old was there with his team from the Garfield Park Little League, a program set up by community leaders for children on the city's West Side.
