Getting the word out... award-winning Talyllyn is thriving

POSITIVE energy continues to drive the Talyllyn Railway – with further exciting developments in terms of its volunteer and commercial offering and passenger numbers on the up in the season so far.

“This year we forecast a 10% reduction in passenger numbers. However, year-on-year we’re seeing a 7.5% increase and a 15% rise in ticket revenue,” said general manager Stuart Williams.

Asked what he thought the reasoning might be for the increase in traffic, Stuart replied: “I would say it’s mainly us spreading the word
