Don’t forget the nineties

I enjoyed the AP 20 April issue on second-hand cameras. Although I've used digital SLRs for some time, I have a large collection of film cameras, all acquired second-hand.

However, I felt there was a category that was overlooked, but worthy of consideration: the consumer-level 35mm SLR of the 1990s.

These cameras are not popular with collectors, yet in plentiful supply. They may be a bit plasticky and not tremendously interesting but they are cheap, and if you already own a DSLR of the same brand, you're likely to have all the lenses you need.
