It’s rare for Apple to sandwich in new hardware announcements between software unveils at its WWDC conference, but this year was different. With an auditorium packed full of devoted iOS and macOS developers, it was the perfect opportunity for Apple to show off a completely overhauled, breakthrough Mac Pro, designed to push the limits of what a Mac can do and empower developers, artists, filmmakers, photographers, and gamers to take their creativity to the next level. After a short video introduction voiced by Jony Ive in typical Apple style, the company showed off the stunning new workstation on the stage, to audible gasps from the crowd.

The new computer is Apple’s most advanced to date, featuring Xeon processors up to 28 cores, a new high-performance memory system with a massive 1.5TB
