CHICAGO - The king of the bat flip gently dropped his wooden weapon Sunday and watched the ball soar.
By the time it came down 429 feet away in the left-center-field bleachers at Guaranteed Rate Field, White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson already had completed six steps of a strut easier to interpret than describe.
"I knew I got it," Anderson said of his fourth-inning home run. "So walk it out."
It's all about the journey for an exciting Sox team still too young to worry about the destination. Fittingly, Anderson's walk was more like a swagger
