HOT ROD HAULER WARREN MURR AY’S 1957 CHEVROLET PICKUP

BACK in 1957, when Warren’s vehicle was built, a band new half-ton short bed 3100 was $1,800. Apart from the smallblock V8, mechanical options included power steering, power brakes, and a choice of three-speed synchromesh (with or without overdrive), a four-speed synchromesh and a four-speed automatic transmission. A side-mounted spare was also on the options list. Production for 1957 was 198,538 units.
