    Welcome to a celebration... a supplement which effectively marks the results of a lunchtime meeting just over 20 years ago.

    On that day in early January 1999, I telephoned Peter Kelly, a hugely-respected railway journalist, who agreed to meet me for lunch. Our rendezvous was the Periwig pub in nearby Stamford, and over a pint the seeds of the magazine Her itage Railway were sown.
